And its very lightweight for the 1970s at 9.4 lbs. The original pickups are strong and loud and the bass sounds incredible, just as a sweet vintage Jazz should! No issues, no cracks, no mods, no repairs. The neck feels incredible and the action is nice and low with fantastic playability all across the board. Every note rings out clearly, no buzzed out notes anywhere.
Neck is straight, truss rod works good. The feel and tone of this bass are wonderful - A professional quality vintage instrument in every regard. The frets are all original with lots of life left. This neck one of the last 4-bolt Jazz basses to leave the factory in the 70s (right before Fender made the change to the less desirable 3-bolt necks)! Neck Stamp: Not fully visible anymore, but theres a clear 4 at the end of the stamp, indicating 1974.
Also, 4-bolt pearl block necks were only made in 1974 (and very early 1975). Pot Codes: All 3 pots read 137- 7429 (29th week of 1974). The case is in good structural condition except one of the latches is broken.Shows typical wear from age/use. Handle is a homemade replacement. The Fender logo is intact though!
