Being offered is a 1930's Kalamazoo Guitar. These were made by Gibson. Notice the flattop finish on the headstock which is very unusual for a bison made headstock to have the flat top. From the research I found, this would be a VERY early Kalamazoo. I think I found one that had it dated to 1934 and also had this model as a KG-11 but I cannot find a model in research or on the guitar. Up under the but of the neck, in blue ink it has 1455 and thats it. IT looks to be all original. The case has a broken hinge. Once I took that off I could clearly see the action was high. I think you could shave the bridge down some but I think the biggest issue is there is a little rising below the bridge that is causing the high action.

I think this could be fixed with some heat and moisture to get it back down. Other than that, this looks pretty solid. Some crazing in the finish and the one tuner key is missing the screw and sprocket so you will need to get that but I think that is a pretty easy and standard find. This is about 38 long The body is about 17 1/2 long just under 15 wide and about 4 1/4 deep.

Frets could use a cleaning. Will also need new strings. The item "Original antique 1930s kalamazoo Gibson Acoustic Flattop guitar 1455 KG-11 case" is in sale since Sunday, June 21, 2020.
